LaVerne Brandt, age 91, of Menasha passed away peacefully on Thursday May 25, 2012 at the Theda Clark Medical Center. Lovie was born on January 30, 1921, daughter of Arnold and Emma Buss. She attended Menasha High School and worked as a sorter at Marathon for over 30 years.
Lovie enjoyed doing arts and crafts, especially needle point and working on plastic canvas. She also loved playing bingo and cribbage, the occasional Kingsbury beer and spending time with her family.
LaVerne leaves behind her daughter Connie (Richard) Swoboda of Neenah, grandchildren: Chris (Lonnie) Fenner, David Koehler, Paula (Jim) Sanders, Jeff (Chris) Swoboda, Marty (Jennifer) Swoboda and Lee Quimby, many great grandchildren, son-in-law; Brian Orm, sister; Betty and Arlene, two very special nieces; Nancy Tynan and Darlene Rappert, and a special friend Laurie. Lovie will also be remembered by other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Arnold and Emma, daughter; Kaye Orm, granddaughter; Kelly Haggard, sisters: Loretta, Lorraine and Deloris and brothers; Emmit and Arnold.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday May 30, 2012 at 11 AM at the WICHMANN TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL (3212 S. Oneida St, Menasha). Friends may call the funeral home from 9 AM until time of service.
