Laura L. Patterson

Laura Lee Patterson, age 56, passed away July 7th, 2025. She was born September 16th, 1968, to Ed and Jackie Broeren. She married Mark Patterson on September 28th, 2007.

Her younger years were filled with tap dance lessons, family trips and picnics, helping in the garden, skating at Gem Roller Rink with her friends, and lots of music.

After high school, Laura attended Gill-Tech Academy of Hair Design and worked in a prominent Appleton Aveda salon for almost 20 years. After that, she volunteered at the Fox Valley Humane Society and was a Cat Adoption Specialist for many years. She enjoyed photography, art, travel, concerts, reading, spring flower shopping with her mom, Road America weekends, motorcycle rides, still lots of music, and dinner plans.

But most of all, Laura was a devoted wife and pet mom. We do not doubt that her dog Ripley and cats Chloe, Felix, and Oscar greeted her when she passed. Her cats represent everything good about Laura.

Laura is survived by her husband Mark and their 3 beloved cats, her mom Janet “Jackie” Broeren, sister Lisa (Scott ) Krieg and brother Ed (Sue) Broeren. She is further survived by many relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Edward Broeren, all of her grandparents, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
