Patterson, LaRae A.

LaRae A. Patterson, age 89, of Appleton, passed away, Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at Peabody Manor. She was born December 19, 1919, to the late Lynn and Mabel (Springborn) Winch in Marshfield, where she graduated from high school. Following her graduation from Stevens Point State Teachers College she began her teaching career in Reedsburg, WI. In 1945 LaRae moved to Appleton where she taught 3rd grade until her retirement in 1982. Following her retirement LaRae volunteered for many years, primarily at Appleton Medical Center. She was married to Wilson S. Patterson on August 2, 1958, until his death on October 4, 1993, after 35 years of marriage. She was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church. LaRae is survived by 11 nieces and nephews and a special friend, Alvera Raab. It was Mrs. Patterson's request that no services be held. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Memorials in Mrs. Patterson's name may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
