Pairon, La Vern J.
Age 65, passed away at home unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 15, 2006. He was born in Appleton on May 28, 1941, the son of the late Paul and Angeline (Vandenberg) Pairon. After high school he served in the United States Army, spending much of his service in Alaska. On May 2, 1966 he married Joan Kramer in Reno, NV. Jack was employed at Thilmany for 26 years, retiring in 1993. He was an avid sports fan, enjoying the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Green Bay Packers, the Badgers, and especially watching his granddaughter, Brittany, compete in Tae Kwon Do tournaments. He will always be remembered for wearing the caps of his favorite teams.
Jack is survived by his wife of 40 years, Joan; daughter, Sherry Jensen of Kaukauna; grandchildren: Brittany (special friend, Shawn Schatzke) Pairon, Cody Jensen and Chelsey Jensen, all of Kaukauna; great grandchild, Faith Schatzke; brother, Dan (Pat) Pairon of Milwaukee; sister, Pauline (Larry) Henry and their children Lauren (Michael) Knight and Mariam Henry, all of Anderson, SC; and his little dog, Peaches. Numerous in-laws precede him in death.
The funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at the Fargo Funeral Home, 400 W. Wisconsin Ave., Kaukauna, with Mary Carriveau officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post #41 of Kaukauna assisted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3319 of Kaukauna. Burial will be in Holy Name Cemetery, Kimberly.
The family extends a special thank you to the outstanding medical staff that cared for Jack at Appleton Medical Center.
A memorial fund in Jack‚Äôs name is being established.
