Kim (nee Williams)Schanke-Condu passed peacefully on July 4th at the age of 67. She spent most of the last years of her life living her dream in Florida, hugging palm trees and soaking up the sun. Her children will always hold dear the lessons learned, especially her philosophies of how to live and enjoy life. Island time is a wonderful way to live; drink when you are thirsty, eat when you are hungry, sleep when you are tired. Don't wear a watch, or at least make sure it's not functioning! Her carefree, dance where people don't dance, do what makes you happy and don't care about what others think qualities, will be missed by many.
Kim is survived by her husband, Phil; daughter, Dawn; son, David; grandsons: Alan, Parker, Jameson and Finn and her granddaughter, Julia; great grandsons: Bryar and Jace; as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends. It was her wish for everyone to celebrate with a party when she died, so please raise your glass to her!
The memorial service for Kim will be held at 2:30 pm on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 724 E. South River Street, Appleton. Rev. Stephen P. Savides will be officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends at the church from 1:00 pm until the time of service. Inurnment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Appleton.
