Kim A. Dohr

Kim A. Dohr, age 70, of Hilbert, passed away at her home on July 15, 2026 in the arms of her loving husband and with her family by her side. She was born in Appleton on February 24, 1956, the daughter of the late Dean and Eva (Huntley) Koeniger. She was a graduate of Chilton High School. Kim was united in marriage to Alvin “Gow” Dohr on March 27, 1976, and they were blessed to recently celebrate their 50th anniversary together. One of her proudest accomplishments was being a loving stay-at-home mother for her three children, before beginning a housekeeping career that lasted until her retirement in 2018.

Kim enjoyed traveling with her husband on various trips, making memories wherever they went. They especially cherished their time together on their mini-trips to local casinos. Some of Kim’s most treasured times with Gow was playing their nightly cribbage game together, doing her best trying to skunk him. She very much enjoyed supporting her children and grandchildren in their sports and school activities throughout the years. She enjoyed her time shopping, taking walks around town, and she never missed her morning coffee. She also loved the time that she spent with her sisters.

Kim is survived by her husband of fifty years, Alvin Dohr Jr.; children, Jesse (Melanie) Dohr, Rachel Thibert, Danny (Kelsey) Dohr; grandchildren, Dylan, Logan, Alaina, Brody, and Aubrey; siblings, Kay Koeniger, Kirk (Amelia) Koeniger, Kipp (Patti) Koeniger, and Kara (Bill) DeCoster; sisters-in-law, Dianne Meyers, Mary Brantmeier, and Sue (Dave) Lautenslager. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Alvin Sr. and Malitta Dohr; son-in-law, Dan Thibert; sisters-in-law, Barbara (David Diedrich) Halbach, Donna Wolfinger, and Judy (Arnie) Olp; brothers-in-law, Claude Meyers and Tom Brantmeier; along with many other beloved relatives.

A private service will be held for Kim.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Tina from ThedaCare At Home Hospice for her wonderful care of Kim. They would also like to thank Joe and Jane Bauer for their devoted support. Finally, words cannot describe the gratitude that the family has for the love, care, and compassion that Leon and Pat Ruhland showed throughout Kim’s journey.
