Kevin Giles Kempen, age 64 of Appleton, WI passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and meaningful connections that touched the lives of many. He was born to the late Giles and Dorothy (Romenesko) Kempen on January 21, 1962. After graduating from high school, he went on to work the majority of his career in Reynold’s Consumer Products (formerly Presto), last working as a team leader. Kevin married the love of his life, Denise Daemmrich, in September of 1991, recently celebrating 34 years together. He was a devoted and loving husband, a caring brother, uncle, and a loyal friend whose presence brought comfort and encouragement to those around him.
Kevin was deeply passionate about his work and approached every endeavor with dedication, integrity, and a strong sense of purpose. He had a natural interest in finance and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others, always eager to help friends, family, and colleagues make informed decisions and pursue their goals. Whether discussing investments, offering career advice, or simply lending an ear, Kevin found great fulfillment in helping others succeed.
Outside of work, Kevin enjoyed playing pool and valued the friendships and camaraderie that came with the game. If you had anything to do within the next two hours, you’d better make sure not to mention billiards around Kevin, as once he got going about it, you wouldn’t be able to stop him! He dedicated much of his time to learning new tactics and techniques through YouTube videos, sharpening his skills on the table. In his younger days, he spent much of his free time improving his bowling score too, meeting a lot of his friends through that outlet.
Kevin’s easy-going nature and genuine interest in people allowed him to form deep and lasting relationships wherever he went. He had a unique ability to connect with others, making each person feel valued, understood, and capable of achieving more than they thought possible. Those who knew Kevin will remember his generous spirit, thoughtful guidance, and unwavering belief in the potential of others. His impact will continue to be felt through the many lives he inspired and the countless acts of kindness he shared.
Kevin will be deeply missed by his wife, Denise; his mother-in-law, Irene; his siblings, Sandy (Joe) and Brian (Missy); his siblings-in-law, Donna (John), Donald (Sandy), Dennis (Rick), Daniel (Sharon), Debbie (Richard), Dawn (Perry), Deanna (Ed), Diana, David (Lana), and Dale (S.O.
