Kenneth “Kenny” Eugene Vogel, age 63, of Menasha passed away on April 1, 2026, after a courageous 17-year battle with cancer. Throughout every challenge he faced, he remained a source of light — known for the smile he always carried and the unwavering positivity that inspired everyone around him.
Kenny was born on October 19, 1962, in Appleton, Wisconsin to Florian and Theresa (Gritton) Vogel. He graduated from Menasha High School in 1981. He was employed by Bernatello’s Foods for 19 years.
Kenny was a gentle soul who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He had a rare gift for kindness; people often remarked that he was one of the nicest individuals they had ever known. His warmth, patience, and genuine heart made him someone others naturally gravitated toward.
More than anything, he cherished time with his family and friends. He found his greatest happiness in simply being with the people he loved, sharing easy conversation, laughter, and the comfort of togetherness. Those closest to him will forever remember the warmth he brought into every room and the way he made everyone feel welcome.
From a young age, Kenny had a deep love for cars — a passion that stayed with him throughout his life. He built an impressive collection of scale model and diecast cars, each one chosen with care and enthusiasm. He was also an avid NASCAR fan, finding excitement and connection in the sport he loved.
He is survived by his mother, Theresa Vogel; his brother, Dennis Vogel; his sister, Bonnie (Vogel) Tennie; his brother-in-law, Brian Tennie; and his cherished nieces, Brooklyn and Bree Tennie. He is preceded in death by his father, Florian Vogel.
A memorial visitation will be held for Kenny from 9-11 AM on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Wichmann Tri-County Chapel, 1592 S. Oneida St, Menasha, WI 54952 with a memorial service to follow at 11 AM. Kenny will be laid to rest at St. Mary Cemetery in Menasha, WI at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Care Partners and Theda Care Hospice for the care given to Kenny.
Though his absence leaves a profound ache, his legacy of love, resilience, and gentle goodness will continue to guide those who knew him. His life was a gift, and his memory will forever be a blessing.
