Kenneth R. Keddell, age 81, passed away at his home after a long illness with his family by his side on Sunday, November 1, 2009. He was born on November 20, 1927 in Appleton; son of the late James and Grace (Felzer) Keddell. On May 5, 1951, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Deltour. Ken served his country with the U.S. National Guard. He worked for 43 years as a mechanic for Meiers Rudolph Lincoln Mercury in Appleton retiring in 1991. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family and friends. Ken was known as “Mr. Fix It” to his grandchildren and was always willing to tinker and fix lawnmowers, snowblowers and small engines for his family and friends. He was also known as the “Candyman” to the doctors offices staffs, always supplying everyone with candy. Ken is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marilyn Keddell, Appleton, daughter, Carol (Steve) Otto, Appleton, sons, David (Beth Gasper) Keddell, Waupaca and Paul (Janel) Keddell, Sturgeon Bay, brothers, Floyd (Roseann) Keddell, Neenah and Clyde (Vi) Keddell, Appleton, sister, Katharine (Lyle) Marquart, Neenah, sister-in-law, Sandy Jansen, Waupaca, brother-in-law, Richard Deltour, Appleton, grandchildren, Scott Otto, Jen (Tim) Brennan, Sarah (John) Rivet, Heather (Ben) Keddell, Amy Keddell and Keagan and Payton Keddell, great-grandchildren, Miranda, Hailey, Gavin, Evan and Ally. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Art (Millie) Keddell, Jennie (Artie) Bobb, Violet Salm, Dodger Keddell, Dorothy and Lloyd Kobs, Tom Keddell, Barbara Lautenschlager and special brother-in-law, Ron Jansen. Funeral services for Ken will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior St., Appleton. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. A memorial fund is being established in his name.
