Kaylene Breckheimer, 84, passed peacefully on March 25, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on June 8, 1939, in Sheboygan Falls to Leonard (Vernetta) Peot. After graduating from Appleton West High School, Kaylene dedicated many years of her life as a server, bartender, and front desk clerk in the hospitality industry, where her kind heart and friendly demeanor touched the lives of many. She had a particular fondness for her annual trips to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and her adventurous spirit and love for travel enriched her life in countless ways.
Kaylene is survived by her children Danny Breckheimer, Lori (Dennis) Breckheimer and Connie (Gary) Breckheimer, grandchildren Benjamin (Mallory) Breckheimer, Sean (Ashley) Matyas, Tricia (Loren) Getz, Travis (Ashley) Heimlich, Scott (Nan) Thomae, Sarah Thomae, and Melissa (Bernie) Seis, many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and grand dog Beaner.
Kaylene is preceeded in death by her parents, daughter Mary Sue Breckheimer, daughter-in-law Laura Breckheimer, a granddaughter and great grandson.
A visitation for Kaylene will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 312 S. State St. in Appleton on April 3, 2024 at from 10:00 AM until time of mass at 11:00 AM. Her family would like to extend their gratitude to the entire staff of Cherry Meadows. As we gather to honor and celebrate her life, let us remember the light she brought into this world and the kindness she extended to everyone she met.
