GREENING (GAULKE), KATHY LEE

Kathy Lee (Gaulke) Greening, 55, Appleton, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 20, 2010, after an eighteen month battle with cancer. She was born on August 9, 1954 in Appleton, the daughter of the late John A. and Anita W. (Froehlich) Gaulke. On August 30, 1993, she married the love of her life, Darnell Greening. They would have celebrated their seventeenth anniversary this year. Kathy dearly loved her family and friends, and especially her canine companion, her “baby”, Noel. She loved flowers and music, going out to eat, and was always ready for a good laugh. Kathy faced many adversities through the years, but she always fought the good fight. She has earned her wings. Kathy now joins her dad, John and mom, Anita, in Heaven, as a special guardian angel. You will be missed, sis. Special thanks to all her dear friends, she appreciated all you did for her, and to Hospice, for all their caring help.

Kathy is survived by her husband: Darnell; father-in-law: Larry (special friend Dorothy) Greening; sisters: Sue (Keith) O'Connell and Deb (Tom) Abendschein; brother: John J. Gaulke; nieces: Shelly Frank and Amie (Steve) Westphal; nephews: Mike Hopfensperger, “Little” John Gaulke, Jeff O'Connell and Matt Buchberger; great niece: Tierney and great nephew: Jaden. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Jeanette Greening.

The funeral service for Kathy will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, May 24, 2010 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL with Chaplain Jordan Kuczwara officiating. Interment will take place at East Bloomfield Cemetery, Fremont. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
