PATTERSON, KATHRINE PFEIFFER
Kathrine Patterson, 63, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at her home. She was born on March 24, 1947 in Albany, New York, the daughter of the late William and Theresa (Buess) Pfeiffer. Kathrine attended Emerson College in Boston and received her bachelor degree as a speech therapist at State University of New York (SUNY) in Albany. She continued with her master’s from College of St. Rose, Albany and became certified in Wisconsin at UW-Oshkosh. Kathrine was a member of Congregational United Church of Christ, Neenah-Menasha, and was involved in the Oshkosh Area Community Pantry and involved with props in the theatre for Friends of Riverside Players. She was one of the founders of Fox Cities Habitat for Humanity and former board member of the Neenah Historical Society. Kathrine married Bernhardt Kressner on September 30, 1967 in New York and Braxton Patterson on September 29, 2001 at Congregational United Church of Christ in Neenah. She loved frequenting museums with family and friends and enjoyed her flowers, plants, and gardening.
Kathrine is survived by her husband: Braxton Patterson, Oshkosh; son: Christopher (Rebecca) Kressner, Lake Mills; two grandchildren: Maximos and Veronica Kressner; sister: Alice (Larry) Nix, Marietta, Georgia; sister-in-law: Mary Pfeiffer, Albany, New York and her former husband: Bernhardt Kressner, Appleton. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Kathrine was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Paula Pfeiffer and brother, William Pfeiffer.
The funeral service for Kathrine will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHURCH, 1511 Nicolet Blvd., Neenah-Menasha. Rev. Lynne Spencer-Smith will be officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. A time of visitation and support will be held on Wednesday at the Wichmann Funeral Home Tri-County Chapel from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and again on Thursday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service. Memorials are appreciated to the Fox Cities Habitat for Humanity, Oshkosh Area Community Pantry or Congregational United Church of Christ, Neenah-Menasha.
