Kathleen Seidler

July 7, 1937 — November 7, 2023

Menasha

Kathleen Seidler passed to her eternal life on Tuesday November 7, 2023, after complications from Covid. She joins 'Donnie" the love of her life for 64 years for a gimlet in heaven. She was born July 7, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio and grew up with two older sisters and a brother. Her father died when she was very young so was raised by a single mom. Proud of her Irish heritage, both mom and dad were Irish, and her grandmother had come to America by boat in the late 1800's. She worked a variety of jobs starting at age 14 to help with the family finances and eventually met Don at a party that neither were invited to. She recalls it being love at first sight and the rest is history. Don's job transfer in 1975 brought them to Appleton, where they lived for 48 years.

Kathy enjoyed working at the Hallmark store in downtown Appleton for many years, eventually following the store out to Fox Valley Mall. That was her favorite job, and she made many close friends with the other ladies working at the store. After retiring, she enjoyed volunteering at AMC Hospital with Don, and spending time with friends and neighbors.

The family would like to thank the staff from Touchmark, Oak Ridge Gardens and Moments Hospice for their incredible care during Kathy's time after Don's death last year. Each organization provided excellent care.

Kathleen is survived by daughter Pegge Gentry, (husband Rob, grandsons Christopher and Nicolas), son Christopher Seidler (wife Diana, granddaughters Emily and Brie, great granddaughters Sloane and Zoe).

Wichmanns Funeral Home is handling the final arrangements and Kathy's ashes will be placed next to Don at St. Josephs Cemetery in Appleton.
