Julie Diane Nemitz (nee Krause) was born on December 26th, 1954 in Appleton, WI to Donald and Ramona Krause (nee Hamer). She departed this life on Saturday, July 8th, 2023 at St. Elizabeths Hospital in Appleton, WI due to health complications.
Julie attended and graduated from St. Francis Xavier Catholic High School in 1973 and chose to join the Navy after graduation.
She was married to Dale Arthur Nemitz on August 28th, 1978 at the Navy Chapel in Charleston, South Carolina.
Julie received an honorable discharge from the Navy due to the pregnancy of first and only child. She gave birth to her son, Aaron, in 1980 at the Naval Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and then moved back to Wisconsin where she settled in Palmyra, raised her son and drove a bus for Lakeland Bus company. She eventually moved to Kimberely, WI to be closer to family.
She is survived by her son, Aaron David Nemitz (Rebecca) of Palmyra, WI and their children, Dyllan Hanshaw, Shelby Hanshaw, Dominic Rizzio, Dante Rizzio and Scarlet Nemitz. Her sister Nancy Bourassa of Kimberely, WI, her brother Timothy (Kathy) Krause of Appleton, WI, and her brother Richard (Nancy Jo) Krause of Appleton, WI and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Donald and Ramona Krause (nee Hamer).
Julie had a lot of love and compassion for animals, especially her cats. She enjoyed doing crafts, scrapbooking and was a very artistically gifted individual. Her family meant so much to her and she enjoyed spending time with them. Julie will be missed dearly by her family.
Memorials may be made to Wisconsin Humane society. On the behalf of Julie, the family wishes to thank the funeral director and the staff at Wichmann Fargo Funeral Home and Crematories (Jansen) and the doctors, nurses and the staff at Ascension NE Wisconsin Hospital - St Elizabeth Campus.
A private memorial for the family will be held at Riverside Cemetary.
