Joyce R. Feld

Joyce R. Feld, age 97, of Appleton passed away on August 19, 2024, at her home at Appleton Retirement Community. Born in Sheboygan to the late John and Clara (Bosshardt) Manthey on November 17, 1926. Joyce graduated from North High School in 1945. Joyce married Robin R. Feld at Zion Reformed Church in Sheboygan on October 11, 1947. 

She received her cosmetology training in Sheboygan, then worked at Prange’s Beauty Salon as well as Boston Store for a number of years. Joyce then became a stay-at-home mom until her children were older. She then returned to the work force at Prange’s/Younkers in Appleton starting at the switchboard and then in retail until her retirement.

Joyce enjoyed reading, golf, cards, traveling and most of all her “angel” grandchildren. She also enjoyed volunteering at Leaven, St Vincent DePaul, RSVP and, among other things the Altar Guild at her church. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran in Appleton.

Joyce is survived by her sons: David (Sandy), Thomas (Susan) and Paul; grandchildren: Timothy, Katie, Stephanie, Kourtnie and Jeremy. As well as 15 great grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother John (Judy) Manthey and 4 nieces and a nephew.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robin, daughter Christine Feld Boskoff and graddaughter Emily.

Joyce’s funeral service will take place on Friday August 23, 2024, at 11:00am at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2220 E College Ave, Appleton. Friends and family may gather at the church from 9:00am until the service begins. Joyce will be laid to rest at Wildwood Cemetery in Sheboygan.
