March 18, 1930 — May 17, 2021

Joyce E. Kranzusch

Age 91, died peacefully in her sleep on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Meadow Wood Assisted Living in Seymour, WI. She fought a long battle with congestive heart disease. Joyce was born March 18, 1930 in Colby, WI to Hilda (Witte) and Raymond Kriplean. On February 10, 1951 she was united in marriage to John W. Kranzusch who preceded her in death in 1993. Together they built their home, which she lived in over 65 years, until moving to Meadow Wood.

Joyce enjoyed her retirement traveling with her husband John and her friends. She especially enjoyed traveling with the Beja Shriners to the annual conventions. She volunteered for many projects and was an active member of the Appleton Women’s Club. She will be missed by many friends and neighbors.

She is survived by her children. A daughter Jill Hartzheim and her two daughters, Vicki Van Vleet (Ben) and their children Brandon, Jerad, Ethan and Dana DeCair (Colin) and their children Jack and Connor. And son John R. Kranzusch (Joyce) and their three children Tracy Lux (Aaron Waytenick) and her children Adeline Lux and Olivia Waytenick, son Robert Kranzusch (Kristen) and their children Kaylee and Caleb, and Cynthia Dickey (Michael) and their son Mason. She was preceded in death by her husband John, sister Dorothy Werner, son in-law Edward Hartzheim and grandson Scott Hartzheim.

The family would like to thank the staff of Meadow Wood, especially, Linda, Alexis and McKenzie. They would also like to thank Unity Hospice for all the care they gave her until the end. Per Joyce’s wishes, she did not want a funeral or memorial service. The family will hold a celebration of life gathering later this year. If you choose to make a donation, she asked that it be given to the Shriner Hospitals for Children.
