Joy L. Marks

Joy L. Marks, 72, passed away on June 20, 2025. She was born on September 28, 1952, to her parents Alvin and Sylvia (Beduhn) Casper.

Joy was born and raised in Milwaukee. She graduated from George Washington High School and went on to Evangelical Deaconess School of Nursing to become a Registered Nurse. She was passionate about her work and cared very deeply for all her patients. Joy was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She went horseback riding one day and met Terrence Marks, they fell in love and were married in 1976. They raised 2 sons together. Terrence passed in 2014.

She was a girly girl. She enjoyed crafting, baking, and gardening, especially her rose bushes that she inherited. She was an avid reader and shopper. Joy also loved to travel. Right before she retired, she went on her bucket list adventure and went to Australia, Tasmania, and New Zealand. She loved her family deeply and loved to spoil her grandchildren.

Joy is survived by her children: Jason (Emily) Marks and Todd (Kathy) Marks; grandchildren: Austin Marks, Mari, and Ella; and other close friends and relatives.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Terry, and siblings.
