Joseph J. Polman

Joseph J. Polman, 78, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2013. Joe was born on March 22, 1935 to Anton and Lena (Sweere) Polman in Appleton.

Joe was united in marriage to Thelma Ann Thein on June 8, 1954. He worked for Kimberly Clark for 14 years at the Lakeview paper mill in Neenah prior to pursing a career in sales. He landed his dream job at Albany International selling paper machine clothing for 25 years. Joe loved golfing, hunting and sports. Joe will be remembered for the kindness and compassion that he gave to all people he encountered throughout his life. Joe was a member of Holy Spirit Parish.

Joe is survived by his wife of 59 years, Thelma, four children; Kim A. (Randy Kowalke) Polman of Menasha, Perri Ann (William) Larson of Lakeville, Minnesota, Joe (Valerie) Polman of Stevens Point, and Tony (Lori) Polman of Buffalo, Minnesota, grandchildren; Billi Alexandra, and Cole Larson, Annaleigh, Annika, and Arrington Polman, and Kate, Ray, and Jack Polman, other relatives and friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, and three infant siblings; Mary Ann, Betty May and Leonard.
The funeral liturgy for Joe will be held on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 12:00 PM at HOLY SPIRIT CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 E. Kimberly Ave. with Fr. Jim Vanden Hogen officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the mass at the church.

Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice.
