Joan Marie Mueller

Joan Marie Mueller (nee Edwards), age 45, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2012, at Appleton Medical Center due to complications of myotonic muscular dystrophy. She was born on November 7, 1966, in Appleton, WI, the daughter of Donna Desten- Steiner and her husband Bill “Chris” Steiner. The family moved to Holly, MI when she was five years old. She went to Holly Schools, graduating from Holly High School in 1984. She moved back to Appleton area shortly after graduating. On June 4, 1987, Joan married Roger Mueller and had one son, Cory. They made their home in Hilbert. Joan loved animals especially elephants, dolphins, cats, and dogs. She enjoyed writing poetry, doing word searches, crossword puzzles, watching the Games Network and Lifetime Movie Network, her favorite food was ice cream. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, homemaker, and sister.

Joan is survived by her husband, Roger, son, Cory, mother, Donna (Bill “Chris”) Steiner, Holly, MI; six siblings, Christine Steiner, Howell, MI; Jane (Jerry) Hudson, Fowlerville, MI; Ella (Brian) Bost, Montrose, MI; Alex (Jennifer) Steiner, Flushing, MI; Tressa (Steve) Gear, Freedom, WI; and Karl (Mary) Steiner, Montrose, MI; she is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lloyd and Mary Jane Desten, and Carl and Mary Steiner.

Memorial service for Joan will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 North Superior Street, friends and family may visit at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com
