Joan Catherine Jungwirth

Joan C. Jungwirth, 88, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023. She was born on July 5, 1934, in Griffith, IN, the daughter of William and Veronica (Austgen) Grimmer. Joan enjoyed both international and domestic travel and completing crossword puzzles. She was an active member of the American Ex P.O.W. as a Chapter Commander, and a Red Hat Society member in Stevens Point, and Tucson.  Joan was united in marriage to Arthur Jungwirth on November 10, 1961, in Crown Point, IN.

Joan is survived by 3 children: Veronica (Chris) Hill, Dotty Mansavage, and Nancy (Rob) Schouten; 8 grandchildren: Vanessa, Daphne, Lindsey, Tara, Joan, Paul, Elyse, and Troy; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and other relatives and friends.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband and parents, a son: Michael Jungwirth; 2 grandsons: Justin Mansavage and Christopher Hill Jr.; and 12 siblings.

A private family service will be held for Joan, and she will be laid to rest with Arthur at Guardian Angel Cemetery, Stevens Point.
