Joan Elizabeth Hahn, age 79, died on March 30, 2026, at St Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. She was born June 7, 1946, to the late Wendlin and Rose (Schick) Tannis in Waukesha, WI. She grew up with her four sisters in the Pewaukee area and graduated from Pewaukee High School. She received an Associates of Arts in Accounting from Fox Valley Technical College in the late 1980’s. Following that, she returned to the Milwaukee area to work at Ataco Steel Products as an accountant. Following her retirement, she returned to the Fox Valley area to be closer to her children and grandchildren.

Joan enjoyed walking in the mall with friends and with her son. Once of her traditions was to take her grandchildren shopping for the school clothes each year. Her grandkids have fond memories of those adventures. Joan loved holidays. She always made sure to get together with her family for Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day and others. Joan was never afraid to find a reason to celebrate.

Joan is survived by her children Brad (Lorinda) Hahn, Becky Hahn, grandchildren: Andrew (Brianna) Hahn, Alicia (Cody) Lambie and Anna Hahn; a great grandson named Emmett as well as a great granddaughter Amira. In addition, she is survived by her sisters: Margaret Hoover, Dorothy (Craig) Evans, Susie (Fred) Ristow, as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Rosemary (Bob) Morrison, and brother-in-law Jim Hoover.
