Friebel, Jerome
Jerome Friebel, “Old Man Winnebago” 76, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at home. Jerome was born on August 20, 1933 to Joseph and Regina (Hooyman) Friebel. He served in the US Navy for four years from 1952 until 1956 onboard the USS Ellison; afterwards he worked at Kimberly Clark until his retirement. Romie then owned and operated the R K Corral in Stockbridge. He was an avid sportsman and his passion was fishing. Romie is survived by 6 children; Curtis Friebel, Menasha, Robert (Kathleen) Friebel, Kaukauna, Debbie (Dave) Korth, Menasha, Jeff (Gail) Friebel St. Augustine, FL, Keith (Denise) Friebel, Weyauwega, Tanya Fink, 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, one brother; Richard “Dick” Friebel, two sisters; Ilamae (George) Langenhuizen and Margaret (Jim) Greely, a former wife Barabara Bethke nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Romie was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Dorothy “Sis” Langenhuizen. A memorial service for Romie will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 6:00 PM at the JANSEN FARGO FUNERAL HOME with military rites to follow the services. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2010 from 4:00 PM until the time of services at the Funeral Home.
