Age 67, passed away on October 11, 2010. He was born in Crivitz on October 19, 1942 the son of Earl and Marion (Dickson) Dethardt. Jerry was a mechanic for Seymour Transfer and Popps Drainage. He enjoyed fishing on Little Lake Butte des Morts, and playing pool and darts. He will be remembered for being a good father, his sense of humor, and giving the neighbor’s dog, Maddie, its daily treats.
Jerry is survived by his children: Karen Huben of Pulaski, Kenneth Dethardt of Navarino and Gerald (Martha) Dethardt of Clintonville; grandchildren: James (Kristy), Nichole and Austin Huben; great-grandchildren: Dameon and Jaxson; sisters: Ardis (Robert) Kropidlowski of Winchester and Deloris (David) Heuer of Pulaski; mother, Marion Dethardt; sisters-in-law: Marilyn (Dennis) Zimmer of Seymour, Charlotte (Tim) Hall of Neenah and Nancy (Bob) Pitt of Appleton; brothers-in-law: Allan Woehler, David Woehler and Ronald (Terri) Woehler, all of Appleton; and his former wife, Bonita Daebler. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice; his father, Earl; and a brother and sister, Robert and Karen Dethardt.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 15, 2010 at the Wichmann Funeral Home, with Rev. Jason Andersen officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
The family extends a special thank you to Dr. William Guenther and his staff, and Theda Care at Home Hospice for their compassionate care.
