Age 63, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 28, 2010. He was born in Aberdeen, SD on May 3, 1946, the son of the late Robert and Edna (Wettstein) Herman. Jerry was proud to serve in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968. On October 8, 1977 he married Betty Johnson. He was employed at Kimberly Clark and Alferi Laboratories and was known as being a hard worker. Jerry was an avid Packer Fan. He was well known for being a friendly, sociable and generous man. Jerry was very handy and always willing to help others.

Jerry is survived by his daughter: Ann (boyfriend, Dean Ward) Herman of Menasha; grandchildren: Gabriel and Zachary; twin sister, Jeanette Imsland; brothers: Bruce Herman and Bill Herman; former wife, Betty Herman; sister-in-law, Janice Herman; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jacob VanLinn; brothers and sister: Doug Herman, Marilyn (Francis) Priest, and Richard Herman; sister-in-law, JoEllen Herman; and brother-in-law, Barry Imsland .

The funeral service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Wichmann Funeral Home. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

The family expresses a special thank you to Ray Trudell and those at the Hawk's Nest for being great friends to Jerry.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Jerry's name is being established.
