Jeffrey S. Badger

On Friday morning, we lost a great man. So full of life and energy, fully dedicated to his family, friends and work.

Jeffrey S. Badger, age 58, resident of Appleton, WI, Vice President-Corporate Finance and Treasurer of Ministry Health Care and former CFO of Affinity Health System, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2014 with his beloved wife, daughter and son by his side and his controversial Chicago Bear blanket on his lap.

Jeff was one-of-a-kind. He was, and will continue to be, loved, admired and respected for his upstanding character, humble attitude and strong sense of humor. He will be remembered for his love of the Chicago Bears and Blackhawks. For his long bike rides, watching Disney movies, dunking Oreos, and always doing things the “Badger Way”. Jeff loved to play golf. Though he always compared himself to other golfers by height, not score.

Jeff loved to make people happy, from telling jokes in the boardroom to making funny face pancakes for friends and family at home. He always helped others before helping himself. Jeff's legacy and Badger family spirit will continue to live on through all of the lives he has influenced.

Jeff's infectious personality, courage, and ever-ready sarcasm will be carried on by his wife, Tracy, daughter, McKenzie, son, Jefferson and sister, Starr. The lessons taught by our husband, father and brother will forever guide us through life.

A Celebration of Jeff's life will take place at 11:30 AM on Friday, August 15 at the GRAND MERIDIAN (2621 Oneida St., Appleton). Visitation will take place from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 14 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL (1592 Oneida St., Appleton). In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a Jeff Badger Memorial Fund.
