Jeffery "Jeff" Lynn Gonnering

Jeffery Lynn Gonnering, 69, passed away on December 20, 2023. He bravely fought cancer until the end.

Jeff was born to Don and Betty Gonnering on February 12, 1954. He graduated from Appleton East High School in 1972 and worked as a Master Printer.

Jeff was a talented musician and had a special love for playing the drums. He had a passion for music, and especially loved Frank Zappa and jazz. He was a film and tv enthusiast, and enjoyed watching the Packers. Jeff was a genuinely, effortlessly cool guy who always had a certain swagger about him. Most of all, Jeff was a kind and loving father and grandfather. Raising his daughters was the highlight and joy of his life. His family was the most important thing to him and he had so much love for them.

Jeff was preceded in death by his loving parents, Don and Betty Gonnering; and his beloved daughter, Margaret Mae Gonnering. It was his final wish to be laid to rest beside her.

He is survived by his daughters, Charlotte (Thiago) Pinto, Rachel (Mohamed) Shewieh, and Rebecca (Andy Deeren) Gonnering; grandchildren, Adira Pinto and Ezzadin, Tia, and Lujain Shewieh; siblings, Michael (Ellen) Gonnering and Kim Wooten; nieces, Ricia Hager, Chelsea Gonnering, and Jessica Censotti; great-niece, Kaija Censotti; and many other beloved family members.

A service for Jeff will be held on Friday, December 29, at 12:00 PM, at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St, Appleton. A visitation will be held prior from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
