Jean Ann Faltynski

April 5, 1940 — August 30, 2024

Kimberly

It is not our choice of where or when. I knew someday we’ll meet again; God choose this time for me to part. Forever you’ll be with me in my heart.

Jean Ann (Smits) Faltynski, 84, of Kimberly was born to eternal life on August 30, 2024, at 7:05 am.

Jean Ann was born April 5, 1940, in Green Bay to the late W.C. Smits Sr. & Bette (Friebel) Smits. She earned her high school diploma from Nicolet High School, which is now West DePere. She also graduated from Northwest Institute of Medical Technology in Minneapolis Minnesota. She worked for Dr. Ralph Lenz in DePere for 12 years.

Jean Ann was united in marriage to the late Richard Faltynski on June 4, 1966. They moved to the fox Cities in 1983. In 1989 she started to work for Family Doctors and retired from ThedaCare Physicians in 2009. She and Dick had 57 foster children in a twenty-year span.

Jean Ann was very active after retirement: at St. Bernard’s church, Poll Worker, Attic Theater, visiting sick people in the hospitals and nursing homes, shaking dice with her friends and making sure she signed into the bars weekly to celebrate her late husband's greatest past time.

Survivors are her children: Amy (Brian) Zuhse, along with their children Brianna (Justin) Coel, Zachary Zuhse, and Matthew Zuhse; and Kimberly (Mike Loker) Faltynski, along with their children Damon and Blaike. Great Grandchildren Noah Zuhse, Amelia Zuhse and Brayden Coel; her sister Mary Ann (Jerry) Williems; her brother William (Sandy) Smits as well as many nieces and nephews.
