Janet M. Rogers

May 23, 1943 — September 24, 2021

“Mutter”, “Mama”, “Mère” echoes from the mountains and Earth will never be the same” Virginia Kroll

Our Mother, our world, passed away on the morning of Friday, September 24, 2021 after battling Parkinson’s Disease. She devoted her life to her loving husband, children, grandchildren and making sure everyone she knew felt loved. Our glue. She was so good at showing love through all of the little things. Always there to listen, hug and share a moment, good or bad. Her heart was so big. She provided comfort each and every day, even smiling in her last days when she heard a familiar voice. She is truly a monument to a life well lived and an example of finding the joy in all moments. She will walk with us here and live in our hearts forever and ever.

Janet is survived by her three children: Jeffrey Rogers, Joel Rogers, and Jennifer Hein and their families; brother, Jim Tinsley, sisters; Patricia Hansen, Sue Uffman and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Rogers; parents, Cornice and Anna Tinsley, and brother, Paul Tinsley.

A special memorial service will be held on the Pacific Coast with family in honor of both our parents in the Spring. Their marriage was a true love story and they passed away just a year and three months apart.

In Lieu of flowers, please share a memory or story from their lives or help in the fight for treatment of Parkinson’s disease. Our Mother had a great team of physicians and caregivers on her journey. Some great organizations are:The Assistance Fund, 4700 Millenia Blvd. Suite 410, Orlando, FL. 32839 and the Michael J. Fox Foundation or American Parkinson’s Disease Association.
