Jane McDonald, age 91, of Appleton, passed away at Parkside Care Center on Friday, February 25, 2011. She was born in Antigo on August 17, 1919 the daughter of the late William and Myrtle (Dawley) Fessenden. Jane married her loving husband, Norbert, on October 12, 1939. He preceded her in death on May 17, 2010. Jane's interests included Appleton Women's club, A.M.C. Auxiliary, Ladies Elks and a 45 year member of the Bridge Club.

Jane is lovingly survived by her children: Robert “Bobby #84” McDonald, Mary Lutz and her special friend, Alan Hankemeier; grandchildren: Scott, Teri (Tom), Jim, Diane (Ron), Cynthia, Pete (Jodi), Susan (Kevin), Dan (Vicki), Troy (Michelle), Tracy (Todd), Tom, Samantha, Brooke (Nate), Brittany, Courtney; great-grandchildren: Heather (Ron), Nicole, Heidi, Nate (Amy), Brittany, Andy (Cassey), Miranda, Nora, Sam, Kayla, Tristin, Anthony, Kyle, Kaylee, Caitlin, and Reese; and great-great granddaughter, Hailey. Jane was preceded in death by her daughters: Bette Gregori and Barbara Melzer.

A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St., with Fr. Gerald Falk officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

The family extends a special thank you to her son-in-law, Jim Gregori, who made almost daily visits to see Mom. Further, a special thank you to Fr. Falk for all his visits to Mom, and to Parkside Care Center, who were so special to Mom.
