James Baril, 74, of Kimberly passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Colony Oaks Care Center.
Jim was born on April 24, 1937 to Nelson and Esther (Habeck) Baril in Shawano. He was a veteran having served in the US Army. Jim married Caryl Oelhafen on August 8, 1964 in Medford. He worked at Allis Chalmers from 1955 until his retirement in 1999. He was a member of the ROMEO club and the Kimberly American Legion #60. Jim enjoyed spending time at Jerry Kamps bar in Combined Locks and bowling in Freedom. After his retirement he spent the winter in Florida where he made many friends especially at the VFW club in Port St. Joe.
Jim is survived by his wife, Caryl, a sister Nancy (Darrol)Mueller, Clintonville, a nephew Kenneth (Barb) Ferron, Mequon, a sister-in-law Elsie Nehls, Milwaukee, and other relatives and many friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents, two sister and two brothers.
A funeral service for James will be held on Monday, August 22, 2011 at MT CALVARY EV. LUTHERAN SCHOOL (N8728 S. Coop Rd, Menasha) at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jesse Johnston officiating. Interment will be in the Highland Memorial Park. A time of visitation will be held on Monday from 9:30 AM until the time of services at the church.
