Jim was a man who enjoyed working with his hands. He built the home that he and Babe lived in early in their marriage. He loved a good game of cards-Sheephead and Cribbage were the favorites. He was known to encourage traveling friends to “leave the lights on” to benefit a power company that he was a stockholder in. Frugal in all things, he was known for having at LEAST half of a napkin in his pocket.
