James “Jim” Joseph Kridelbaugh, age 80, passed away at Cherry Meadows Hospice on September 20, 2026. He was born December 25, 1945, to the late Hurst and Dorothy (Danaher) Kridelbaugh in Detroit Michigan. Soon after his birth, the family moved to Chariton, IA, and Jim spent his formative years there. He graduated from Campion High School in Prairie du Chien, WI, where he was active as a football player.

Jim was a man of simple pleasures. He enjoyed reading, golfing, and hunting. Time spent with his son Dan on the course is cherished time. Jim enjoyed spending time with his son and grandchildren. They truly lived “in the moment” soaking each minute of time together.

Jim is survived by his wife 58 years, Pat, his son Dan Kridelbaugh, grandchildren: Joshua Kridelbaugh, Katherine Kridelbaugh, siblings: Daniel Kridelbaugh, Geraldine Moore, Irene Ratcliff as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister.

A funeral liturgy will take place on Saturday October 10, 2026, at 11:00am, at St Bernard Catholic Church, 1617 W Pine St, Appleton. Friends and family may gather at the church from 9:00am until mass begins.
