James (Jim) Allen Schultz

James (Jim) A. Schultz, 83, passed away on Sunday, April 23. Jim was born on February 27, 1940, in Appleton to Roy and Lucille (Presteen) Schultz. Jim was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. Jim graduated from Appleton High School in 1958, and served in the U. S. Air Force from 1959 to 1963 in Texas, California, Guam, and Arizona. He was employed at AAL (Thrivent) from 1963 through 1999 when he retired. On August 29, 1964, he married Roselyn Schlender. Jim was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Jim is survived by his wife, daughters and spouses, seven grandchildren, and two great granddaughters: Kari (Gary) Sengstock; daughters, Megan (Mark) Schleinz and Taylor (Nate) Sengstock; Tracy (Mike) Doule; children, Jordan (Noel) and Cheyenne (Trevor) Doule; and great-granddaughters, Scarlett and Sienna Doule; Julie (Kevin) Thompson; daughter Olivia Thompson; Kathryn (Travis) Dittmann; sons, Carter and Quinn (Ali) Dittmann. Also brother, LeRoy (Linda) Schultz; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Genevieve Buck, Sharon Schlender, Gordon (Agnes) and Gary (Sandra) Schlender; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clinton and Richard Schultz; parents-in-law, Fred and Alma (Beyersdorf) Schlender; brothers-in-law, Rolland, Robert, and Eugene Schlender and Don Buck; sisters-in-law, Elsa (Steward) Schultz and Erna (Helmrath) Schlender.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 28, at 11 AM, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 302 N. Morrison St. Appleton, with Rev. Kenneth Frey officiating. Internment will be at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church on April 28, from 9:30 AM until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church.
