Ila Mae Jansen, 80, passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Prairie Home Assisted Living with her family by her side. Ila Mae was born on January 5, 1933 to the late Manley and Erna (Lange) Burt in Appleton. She was married to the late Sylvester Jansen on June 17, 1950, and they had six children. Ila Mae then married the late Clayton Kieffer on February 3, 1983. Ila Mae enjoyed gardening, reading, and shopping. She will be remembered for many things by those who knew and loved her. Ila Mae was a member of the Riverview Ev. Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary Post #33.

Ila Mae is survived by her five children; Joyce (Lawrence) Castrop, Donald (Helen) Jansen, David (Diane) Jansen, Roger (Kris) Jansen, and Christine (Larry) Schiltz; 15 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one sister Claire (Burt) Kronser and one brother Arlin Burt, dear friends, Dorothy (Gene) Greening, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ila Mae was preceded in death by her husbands, her son, Michael Jansen and brothers; Arvin, Lee, Lyle, Manley and Davis.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI COUNTY CHAPEL, 3212 S. Oneida St. with Rev. Dennis W. Belter officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ila Mae's name can be made to the Dementia Association.
