Henry Behm

Henry W. Behm passed away February 7, 2024 at Silverstone Memory Care, Appleton. He was born July 27, 1933, the youngest of twelve children to William and Minnie Behm, born in the family farmhouse near Fisk, WI.

Hank was a graduate of Omro High School, lettering in Varsity Football.

He was employed as an ironworker for 35 years, spending most of those years with Griese and Ross Construction, Oshkosh, WI.

Hank married Betty Nietzel in 1957. They were blessed with two children Michael and Laura. Betty preceded him in death in 1981. Laura preceded him in death in 1988.

In 1984, Hank married Dorothy “Dottie” (Ingram) Reeves. They spent 39 years together before her death in 2023.

Hank had a 90th birthday celebration in July of 2023. The afternoon was filled with family, friends, pictures, stories, laughs and love. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Hank always looked forward to visits from his great grandsons. His face lit up when they came into the room.

While at Silverstone, he enjoyed chatting with the staff as well as many games of Bingo.

Surviving are his son Michael (Gretchen), grandson Slaten (Kayla) Behm, their sons Lawson and Croix, sister-in-law Mildred (Walter) Behm, granddaughter Katrina (Spencer) Ernst, Dottie’s children, Kathryn (Patricia) Graves-Farias, Charlie (Anita) Graves, Jeff (Bobbie) Reeves, Bob (Betsy) Reeves. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, wife Betty, daughter Laura, and wife Dottie.

Hank will be remembered for his love of his family, his blue eyes, the love of the outdoors.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Hank’s family would like to thank the staff at Silverstone Memory Care and Moments Hospice for their exceptional compassion and care.

A memorial has been established.
