Age 78, passed away at Brewster Village on Saturday, July 2, 2011. He was born in Ostrander, WI on September 3, 1932 the son of the late Harold W. and Meta (Mentzel) Gorges. On June 23, 1956 he married his wife of 55 years, Nancy Johnson. Harold was proud to serve as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He worked for over 38 years as an installer for Geo J. Hoffer Glass, retiring in 1994. Harold loved to fish trout and hunt deer. He will be remembered for being a “regular guy” who dearly loved his family.

Harold is survived by his wife, Nancy; sons: Thomas and Michael (special friend, Candy Wildenberg) Gorges, both of Appleton; brother, Cameron (Judi) Gorges; and sisters: Beverly (Lowell) Feathers and Valerie (James) Neckhash.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at ST. MATTHEW EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 129 S. Mason St., Appleton. Friends will be received at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park.
