Gloria Jean Sommers

Gloria J Sommers, age 69, of Appleton was taken to Heaven to be with Jesus on March 26, 2024, at Misty Arbor Assisted Living in Appleton. She was born on May 18, 1954, in Appleton WI, the daughter of the late Robert and Betty Sommers. 

Gloria worked at Valley Packaging for many years retiring in 2021. Gloria was a very thoughtful and caring person who loved her cat, Olivia. During her time with Agape, she enjoyed participating in Special Olympics and was awarded many ribbons. She enjoyed going on field trips with her friends at Agape. She especially loved spending time with her family on birthdays and holidays.

She is survived by siblings: Cathy Mory, Duane Sommers, Michael (Angie) Sommers and Patricia (Tim) Bloy, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in passing by her parents and other family members.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Agape and Misty Arbor Assisted Living.

Gloria was a wonderful sister, aunt and daughter. She will be remembered and greatly missed and, in our hearts, forever.  She is with our Lord Jesus and is now celebrating eternal life.
