Gayle M. Kukulka

Gayle Kukulka, a long-time resident of Appleton, passed peacefully into the arms of the angels on June 28, 2021. She succumbed to a stroke during her valiant fight with cancer. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend who dedicated her life to her family and her lifetime love of animals. She was a certified dog trainer and an avid breeder of Australian Shepherd dogs.

Gayle is survived by her husband of 44 years, Barry Kukulka; her children, Troy Kukulka and Meagan Kukulka; her parents Earl and Helen Thompson of Kaukauna; her sisters Linda Thompson-Chlon of Boise, Idaho, Shelley Hunnel of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Leslie Clem of Greeley, Colorado, and Kimberly Thompson of Crowley Lake, California, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Gayle is preceded in death by her brother Kirk Thompson.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at Wichmann Funeral Homes Tri County Chapel on Saturday July 10, 2021 at 11:30 AM. Memorial visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Please bring your best memories and join the family in the remembrance of this beautiful soul.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Gayle’s name are appreciated.
