Gary R. Krueger

Many will remember Gary for his work as a Benefit Plan Coordinator who wrote benefit plans for companies large and small.  He always considered himself blessed to be in that line of work and often referred to it as a “calling.”  

Gary loved music of all kinds and enjoyed writing his original music and playing nearly any kind of music.   He was also a frequent and vocal participant in Bible Study.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Wendy, whom he married in 1990; five children: Dennis (Michelle) McRae, Karey (Damien) Perez, Kristy (Tom) Gaddis, Erin (Jeremy) Muraszewski, and Joshua (Fabrizia) Krueger; thirteen grandchildren, and one great-grandson.  He also leaves behind two brothers: Jim (Annie) Krueger and Bruce (Beth) Krueger; a sister: Cheryl (Dave) Chase; a sister-in-law: Sandra (Pat) Soll; and his loving pup Tilley, as well as many grand-dogs.   He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Kay Bergstrom, a sister-in-law Dawn Krueger, and a nephew Brandon Krueger.

A funeral service for Gary will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Wichmann Funeral Home, located at 537 N. Superior Street in Appleton, with his uncle, Rev. David Krueger officiating.  Complete military honors will follow the service, followed by entombment at Highland Memorial Park.  Visitation will begin on Saturday at the funeral home at 9:00 AM and will continue until the time of the service at 11:00 AM.

A celebration of life for Gary will also be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, located at 2565 Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte, Florida.
