Gary A. Mitchell

Gary A Mitchell, 77, of Kaukauna passed away on Monday, November 23, 2009 at Appleton Medical Center. Gary served in the Air Force for two years as a Private First Class. He was also employed at Thilmany Pulp and Paper for 44 years. On October 8, 1956 Gary married Helen Parker at Immanuel United Church of Christ. Gary loved reeling in the “big ones” on Lake Michigan and cooked excellent family fish fries. He loved the woods and enjoyed deer and turkey hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; his children: Keith (Mary) Mitchell, Linda (Dennis) Forrest, Diana (Richard) Courchaine, all of Green Bay and Greg (Jill) Mitchell, Denmark; 9 grandchildren: Jayson (Amanda) Mitchell, Kallista Mitchell, Savanna (Johnathan) Parker, Sabrina Courchaine, Corey Mitchell, Ray Forrest, Shaunna Courchaine, June Forrest and Jayden Mitchell; six great grandchildren: Tony Bostik, Damon Kimps, Alex VanCampenhout, Johnathan Parker, Jr., Lilliahna Mitchell, Natalie Parker. He is also survived by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Cora and Glenn Nelson, Menasha.

He was preceded in death by a sister: Jean (Frank) Theunis, brothers, Melvin (Edna) Mitchell and Robert (Harriet) Mitchell.

The memorial service will be held on Monday, December 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel United Church of Christ (510 Sullivan Ave., Kaukauna) with Pastor Melinda Feller officiating. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 until the time of service.
