Gail Helen Sedo

Gail H. Sedo, 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, under the care of Heartland/Promedica Hospice at Heatherwood Memory Care in Eau Claire. She was born on February 23, 1936, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Carl and Veneta Nebel. She graduated from Menasha High School in 1954, and then was united in marriage to Robert J. Sedo on June 9, 1956. They were married 37 years before her husband’s passing. Gail worked many years as a waitress at the Left Guard and then went on to work in the food and catering business. Gail loved to cook and especially bake. She always had a couple of gallon jars full of chocolate chip cookies to share with the neighbor kids or whoever stopped in. Gail will be remembered for the love she had for her children and the time she enjoyed spending with family.

Gail is survived by her children: Scott (Kelly) Sedo, Peggy (Tim) Schiller, and Pam (Paul) Birling; grandchildren: Haley (Brett Koster) Sedo, Kristen (Luke Retzlaff) Birling and Bryan (Brooke) Birling; 5 great grandchildren: Morgan, Carson, Brianna, Brynleigh, and Brogan; other relatives and friends.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother: Carl “Skip” Nebel, and a sister: Nancy Hansen.

Gail’s family is planning a private service and celebration of life at a later date.
