Frena V. Scheid

Frena V. Scheid (Boeder), 80, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025, after battling Alzheimer’s. She was born on May 28, 1945, in Green Bay, WI, the daughter of Lorenz and Irma (Seiltz) Boeder.

Frena grew up on the family farm in Wayside, WI. She attended Zion Lutheran grade/middle school, where most of the students were extended family. After graduating from Brillion High School, Frena entered the workforce at Fox River Valley Knitting Mill, followed by working at Prange’s as a seamstress. She met Ron Scheid in 1988, and they were married on June 3rd, 1989. At that time, Frena retired from Prange’s after 21 years. Frena then helped Ron with fixing up his many rental properties. She lost Ron almost 5 years ago to Alzheimer’s.

Frena is survived by:

· 7 Siblings: Harvey (Carol) Boeder, Charlotte (Jerold) Wienandt, Walter (Darlene) Boeder, Janet (Mark) Schumacher, Otnie (Eric) Dechert, Rev Royal (Barbara) Boeder, Karen Boeder

· Frena didn’t have children of her own, but she gained relationships/friendships in Ron’s 6 children: Patricia Robinson, Mike (Kim) Scheid, Melody (Guy) Snyder, Rhonda Schadler, Timothy (Sherry) Scheid, and Terri (Bob) Brouillard

· 12 Grandchildren: Melissa (Christian) Frantz, Will (Laurie) Robinson, Trisha Robinson, Jason Wiggins, Brian (Molly) Wiggins, Michael Scheid, Travis Schadler, Genevieve (Thomas) Stricklen, Nathaniel (Terri) Scheid, Anthony (Jamie) Scheid, Patrick (Joelle) Brouillard, Wesley (Cali) Brouillard

· 13 Great-Grandchildren: Kyan, Mila, Cole, Mason, Ellen, Racquel, Raven, Fredrick, Daphne, Chloe, Kamron, Porter, Paxton

· 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren: Ava, Sophia, Killian, Greyson

· Many nieces, nephews, and other relatives

Frena was preceded in death by:

· Parents – Lorenz and Irma Boeder

· Husband – Ronald Scheid

· Sons-in-law – William Robinson III and Kenneth Schadler

· Grandson – Darien Wiggins, and Great-Great Granddaughter - Skylar Brown

The Funeral will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, November 26th, at Faith Lutheran Church, 601 E Glendale Ave, Appleton. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.
