Age 89, passed away on Friday June 9, 2006. Francis was born on December 19, 1916 son of the late Frank and Margaret (Beickul) Schaefer. He married Mildred Scherer and she preceded him in death in 1951. He then married Lillian Kroll and she preceded him in death on May 22, 2006. Francis loved traveling, dancing, and playing cards. He worked at Appleton Machine for many years. Francis is survived by 5 children: Ione (Roger) Danner, Hubertus, WI., Yvonne (Leo) Kempen, Little Chute; Gary (Julie) Schaefer, Darboy; Nancy Gold, San Fransisco, CA.; Sandy Diekvoss, Milwaukee; a brother; Roy Schaefer, Fond du Lac; 6 grandchildren: Paul, Jolene, Jerold, Lisa, Brenda, Our Special Angel Michael; 7 great grandchildren. In addition to Lillian Francis is preceded in death by a sister and 2 brothers. Private family services will be held. A memorial is being established.
