Frances M. Vils

Frances M. Vils, age 92, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at St. Paul Villa, Kaukauna. She was born on January 23, 1917 in Appleton; daughter of the late Nicholas and Catherine (Huss) DeCoster. On September 5, 1936, she was united in marriage to George Vils. Frances is survived by her children, Sandra (David) Doerfler, Combined Locks, Gwynne (Richard) Sauer, Darboy, Lee (Bev) Vils, Appleton; her grandchildren, Peter (Dawn) Doerfler, Brian Doerfler, Greg (Dyson) Doerfler, Shawn (Courtney) Doerfler, Scott (Kristi) VanderHeiden, Vicki (Peter) Zipperer, Nathan (Kelly) Vils, Graham Vils and Devon Vils; 11 Great-grandchildren; sisters, Josephine Luben and Betty Ives; sisters-in-law, Marcella DeCoster, Lillian Niesz and Raquel Vils and by her brothers-in-law, Earl Driessen and Gerald Vils. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George, one brother, two sisters, two sisters-in-law and eight brothers-in-law. A Mass of Christian Burial for Frances will be held on Friday, September 4, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the mass. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. A memorial fund is being established in her name.
