Fara Fane, 72, passed away on January 19, 2026. She was born on July 14, 1953, to her late parents Paul and Delores (Loomis) Fane in Appleton Wisconsin.

Fara was raised in Appleton. She attended and graduated from Xavier Catholic High School. After high school, she worked at PDQ car wash for a long time. After a while, she decided she needed a change and went to work for the school system as a custodian. While she never had kids of her own, she loved to be around the kids at school.

She loved to be outdoors. She loved fishing, especially for musky. She also enjoyed camping with her family near Couderay WI and Chippewa Flowage. She was also an animal lover, she even had a pet skunk! Along with a number of cats and dogs.

Fara is survived by her siblings: Judy (Rueben Hoh) Brickler-Hoh, Paulette Schmitzer, Michael (Cathy) Fane, Miriam Nebel, and numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, niece Heather Fane, and good friend Steve "Santa Claus".

There will be a time to visit on February 5, 2026, at Wichmann Tri-County Chapel 1592 S Oneida St. Menasha WI, 54952 from 10am to 11am with a memorial service at 11am. Deacon Don will be officiating.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her neighbor Kenny for helping with her yard, checking on her, and for being a good neighbor, and to Miriah for coming to spend time with her and helping with chores.
