Evelyn Tyler, 76, passed away on October 17, 2025. She was born on January 4, 1949. to her parents Edward and Mary (Gehle) Artz in Ohio.
She was raised in Ohio before moving to and setting down roots in Wisconsin in 1979. Growing up as an avid go-cart racer, she met her ex-husband Mark Tyler while competing against each other. They were married for 23 years and raised 3 children together. Once the kids were adults, she started a career at Greatland Corporation (formerly Nelco) and retired after 30+ years.
Evelyn was a diehard Brewers fan. She also enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino with her kids, attending family sporting events, going on lunch dates with her girlfriends, reading a good book, and long phone calls with her sister and children. She also adored her dog, Rocky.
She is survived by her long-time partner James Pralat, children: Mark Tyler, Jodi (Rod Dart) Kaminski, Sandra (Dusty Gross) Tyler; grandchildren: Alicia (Ande) Bartels, Evan (Bridget) Lathrop, Emmey (Shawn Wescott) Lathrop, Karlee (Brett Wilkins) Tyler-Naze, Mia Tyler, Max Tyler; step-children: Brian (Amy) Pralat, Elizabeth (Allan Topping) Pralat, Mark (Deepika) Pralat; step grandchildren: April (Mike) Sutrick, Benjamin Pralat, Zachary Pralat, Abigail Pralat, Mark Pralat Jr., Leonardo Pralat, Antonio Pralat; great grandchildren: Emily, Chloe, C.J.; siblings: Janet Wise, Edward Artz, Paul (Carol) Artz, Joseph (Melissa) Artz, and other extended family and friends.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband Mark Tyler, son-in-law Robert Kaminski, brother Daniel Artz, sister Mary Taylor, sister-in-law Deana Artz, and her dogs Bucky, Badger, and Ellie.
There will be a funeral service on October 27, 2025, at Wichmann Funeral Home 537 N Superior St. Appleton WI 54911. Visitation will be from 10am to noon with a service time of noon.
