Evelyn "Eppie" Uhlenbrauck

April 2, 1926 — September 7, 2013

Evelyn “Eppie” Ann (Lautenschlager) Uhlenbrauck, Appleton, age 87 went to heaven on Saturday, September 7, 2013. She was born April 2, 1926 in Hilbert, WI to the late Albert and Anna (Brandes) Lautenschlager. She was baptized at St. Peters Church in Hilbert, WI and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Town of Ellington, WI. On August 19, 1943 she was united in marriage to Earl Uhlenbrauck. On June 26, 1944 Earl was killed in action in World War II. On March 2, 1946 she was united in marriage to Donald Uhlenbrauck at St. John's United Church of Christ, Appleton, WI. Eppie and Don owned and operated Jack's Farm Market for 31 years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, card playing, and polka dancing. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Appleton and belonged to the Women's Guild.
She will be sadly missed by her surviving family and friends. One daughter, Darlene (Wayne) Reimer, Hortonville, Three sons, Daryl (Ray Fischer) Uhlenbrauck, Neenah, Terry (Julie) Uhlenbrauck, Appleton, and Jack (Cindy) Uhlenbrauck, Hortonville. Eight grandchildren, Ken (Patty) Reimer, Hortonville, Tammy (Jeff) Wisch, Milwaukee, Travis (Elizabeth) Uhlenbrauck, Greenville, Troy (April) Uhlenbrauck, Cory Uhlenbrauck, Mishayna Uhlenbrauck all of Appleton, Kelsey Uhlenbrauck, Katie Uhlenbrauck both of Hortonville. Five great-grandchildren, Adam Reimer, Brendan & Brady Wisch, Kiara & Kyler Uhlenbrauck. One step grandchild Steven Stephan and four step-great-grandchildren, Hunter & Trevor Stephan. Sara Rakovec, Ryan Wisch, Two sisters-in-law, Mae and Joyce Uhlenbrauck and a special friend Willy Schumacher as well as many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Albert & Anna Lautenschlager, her husband's Earl and Donald Uhlenbrauck, three brothers and sisters-in-law, Clarence (Bernice) Lautenschlager, Ervin (Linda and Gladys) Lautenschlager, Edgar (Elda and Florence) Lautenschlager, three sisters and brothers-in-law, Selma (Tony) Griesbach, Alice (Daryly Patton, Herb Fischer and Clarence Buss), Rosella (Marshall Grass and Merle Armitage), two brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Gilbert (Larenda) Uhlenbrauck, and Gilbert (Elna) Wendt, two brothers-in-law, Vernon and Norbert Uhlenbrauck. Two step brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Lester (Mabel) Schroeder and Lawrence (Florence and Mildred) Schroeder, and a very special friend Eve Romenesko.
The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, at 11:00 a.m. at St John United Church of Christ, 1130 W. Marquette St. Appleton, WI with Pastor Tom Fritz officiating. Friends may call at the Wichmann-Fargo Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior Street in Appleton from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 9, 2013 and again Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
