Age 46, went to her heavenly rest after a brief illness in Appleton on Sunday, July 7, 2002. Eva was born in Waukesha on September 18, 1955, the daughter of Dr. Eldo and Gloria (Houting) Koenig. Eva earned a bachelor of science degree in horticulture at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She was a long-time employee of Riverside Florists and Greenhouses, an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Appleton, and frequent community-service volunteer.

Eva is survived by her parents, two brothers: Dr. Lloyd (Kala) Koenig and Dr. Evan (Marcia) Koenig; and a sister, Beth (David) Yee. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

The funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2002, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2220 East College Avenue, Appleton, with Pastor Thomas Part officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Wednesday. Interment will take place in Baldwin, IL.
