Eugene Robert Kempinger

Gene Kempinger, 89, passed into the loving arms of our Lord on Monday, July 24, 2023, at the Appleton Retirement Community. He was born on February 16, 1934, in Oshkosh, WI the son of Burkhard and Eleanor (Putman) Kempinger. Gene remained in Oshkosh until 1993 when he relocated to Appleton.

Gene is survived by his wife, Judie Hintz; a sister Helen Waccholz; many nieces, nephews, and longtime friends.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents; late wife: Evelyn (Gereau) Kempinger; and brothers: Theodore, Ronald, and David Kempinger.

In keeping with Gene’s wishes, no formal services will be held.

Gene’s wife would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Appleton Retirement Community and Moments Hospice for their kindness, compassion, and care.
