Esmeralda Garcia, 71, a devoted homemaker and cherished family member, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Appleton, WI on March 17, 2024.
She was born on January 14, 1953 in Corpus Christi, TX. Esmeralda found joy in the simple pleasures of life and had recently discovered a love for travel with her husband Sergio. Her love for her family was evident in the special bond she shared with her grandchildren, especially Lenny, with whom she enjoyed watching King Kong movies. Her beloved Pepper, a faithful companion, brought her comfort and companionship.
Esmeralda’s passions extended beyond family time. She had a knack for puzzles, a green thumb for gardening, and a creative flair for arts and crafts. Her attention to detail was evident not only in her hobbies but also in her well-manicured nails—a reflection of her meticulous nature.
To those who knew her well, Esmeralda’s reserved demeanor concealed a heart overflowing with warmth and generosity. She touched the lives of many, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of kindness.
Esmeralda is survived by her loving husband Sergio Garcia and her beloved children Mauro (Shala) Muniz, Daniel (Amy) Cisneros, Christina (Lavel) Scott, Houston Muniz. Her grandchildren Terrance Cisneros, Andre Wiley Jr., Mekayla Wiley, Paige Tate, Kennedy (Collin) Rozek, Aryanna Cisneros, Talea Scott, and Lennix Scott and the newest addition to the family, great-grandchild Blair Marie Rozek which brought her immense joy. Esmeralda is also survived by her siblings Jesus (Siegrun) Martinez, Simon Martinez, Gavino (Jean) Martinez, Velma (Johnny) Bautista, David Martinez, and Esther (Jesse) Schoen who shared a lifetime of memories with her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco Martinez and Epolita Gutierrez, her step-father Santos Gutierrez, her grandson Nathan Muniz and granddaughter Avery and her siblings Antonio Martinez, Rene Martinez, Maria (Chio) Martinez, and Diana Ramirez.
A visitation for Esmeralda will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Wichmann Funeral Home Tri- County Chapel, 1592 Oneida St. Menasha, WI from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by a short service at noon. Burial will take place after the service at Riverside Cemetery. Lunch will be provided after the burial.
Esmeralda Garcia’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved her. May she rest in peace. 🌹
